I’m having issues with mobile data/connection!

You've tried restarting your phone and your Apps are still not loading? No worries, try going through our checklist below and find out 

  1. Is your phone compatible to the Skinny network? 
  2. Is there good mobile coverage in your area? 
  3. Do you have the correct network settings? 
  4. Have you tried placing your SIM into a different device? 

 

 

Is your phone compatible to the Skinny network?

Some devices are not compatible with Skinny's 3G (850 Mghz or 2100 Mghz) network due to manufacturing reasons. If you'd like to know whether your phone works, try dialing *#06# to get your unique IMEI number and enter the number on the Compatibility Checker

 

Is there good mobile coverage in your area? Is your phone compatible to the Skinny network?

Do you have the correct APN/network settings? 

To make things easy, we've simplified two types of network troubleshooting steps.

  • For iPhone users, try resetting your Network settings by going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. (This will allow your phone to restart too!)
  • For Android users, please ensure that you have the right Network type/mode and settings as below. 

Settings > More Connections/Network > Mobile Networks > Network Type/Mode > Select 3G/3G and 4G only (WCDMA or LTE)

Have you tried placing your SIM into a different device?

Inserting your SIM into a different compatible device:

If this phone picks up on the network, then it means your device could be the one experiencing network problems. If that is the case, you may need to take it in for repairs/contact the manufacturer for help.


Inserting a different compatible SIM into your device:

If your phone is able to connect to the network, then it is highly likely you may have a damaged SIM.
