PIN and PUK1 Numbers
What are PIN and PUK1 numbers? When do I need them?
PIN (Personal Identity Number) is an access code which can be used to secure your mobile phone, SIM card or Voicemail from being accessed by others.
You can set up a PIN number for your phone or SIM card in your phone's security settings.
The PUK1 (Personal Unblocking Key) is a unique number used to unlock a locked SIM card. If you enter the incorrect PIN for your SIM card three times, your SIM may automatically lock. You will then need to unlock the SIM card with your specific PUK1 number.
You can find the PUK1 number on the plastic surround packaging that your SIM card was attached to. If you cannot get the number that way give us a call at 08004SKINNY
If you enter the incorrect PUK1 number 10 times, your SIM card will permanently lock and you will need to buy a new one.
