Is your phone PUK locked?

Published 10/06/2016 12.00 AM | Updated 08/04/2021 08.48 AM

What is a PUK1 code and where do I find it?

PUK stands for PIN unlock Key.  The PUK1 code is a number used by Skinny for activation of SIM cards and site registration, especially for data-only devices.

The PUK1  is also required to unlock SIM cards that have become locked following successive incorrect PIN entries (if you have set-up a PIN lock on your phone).

Your PUK1 code is on the back of the plastic card that came with your SIM. If you've lost that, give us a call on 0800 475 4669 to get your PUK code.

Note: If you enter your PUK1 number incorrectly 10 times in a row, your SIM will be permanently locked and you'll need to buy a new SIM here.
