How do I transfer my account into someone else’s name?
So you’re moving out of your place and you want to leave the connection there? Not a problem! All you need to do is let us know and this can be done in a couple of days. If you are in a contract then it needs a little more work but we can definitely still do it for you. The more notice you can give before your billing date the better because if we don’t get it all sorted before your next billing date then you may have to pre-pay for the coming month.
You will need to get in touch with our team by calling 0800 4 SKINNY and let us know the full name, email address and contact phone number for the person who you would like to hand over your account to. The process will be a bit longer if you are in a contract as there will be a form for you both to sign but then we will get the new person to sign up on the website and we will take it from there.
Provided the new person taking over the account is aware before you make this request to us, this is a pretty quick process. If not it would be good to let them know before hand and/or give them a little nudge to get back to our emails when we contact them. Our team will be in touch with you throughout and also confirm when the transfer has been completed via email.
