Data roaming troubleshooting

The following are steps to help troubleshoot data roaming issues: 

 

Step 1 - Ensure you have data roaming activated on your device.

Step 2 - Ensure you have an active data roaming plan

Step 3 - Ensure you have the right APN setting in your device. Below provided is the APN settings for Skinny Mobile

Step 4 -Ensure you have at least 2 bars of reception.

 

Skinny Data - APN

 

Within your phone settings, find the mobile data / cellular data or 'APN' settings, and enter the details below:

APN: wapaccess.co.nz
Port, Proxy, Server, Username & password: Leave blank
Encryption: Normal
Method: IPv4

 

 Please Note: As you use the host country's network to access data while overseas, issues with their network can also cause data issues.
