Answer message service

The "Answer Message Service" is a service that we offer customers that want to have an alternative to checking voicemail messages.

When this service is switched on, any unanswered calls to the mobile device will go directly to this messaging service and will completely bypass voicemail.

There is a standard answer phone message that is played (however you can personalise this if you wish) so that the caller has an idea of why you have not picked up. For example you could say something like, "Hey, I'm currently busy at the moment, please try again later!"

To enable your answer message service call 789 from your device and follow the prompts listed below.

Please note:

• You are only able to have either voicemail or your answer service active at any one time. Activating this service will disable voicemail.

• When roaming overseas, you will be charged $1 every time the answer service is activated. The best course of action if you do not want to be charged is to turn the answer service off (by turning voicemail on) and then phone us on 0800 475 4669 to get us to deactivate voicemail from our end.
